Division TAX driver Vaclav Fejfar, Division 3 driver Teddy Baudet and Division 3A driver Ondrej Musil were fastest in Round 3 hosted in Musa circuit at Bauska, Latvia on May 22/23. Musa held also the first round of Euraca Cup 2010 for Junior Division 4 drivers, and it was the existing Champion Hungarian Krisztian Szabo who earned his first 20 points of the season.
During the weekend it was rumoured that several drivers who were awaited in Bauska didn't appeare due to flood in Poland, in the same time those who came to Bauska were granted by hot and sunny summer weather conditions and the competition was held under perfect sun.

Division TAX was represented by 13 drivers. The only one who withdrew from the race was local driver Janis Bogdanovics who till the last moment hoped to get his Škoda Fabia which he was going to rent from Estonian Reinsalu Sport. Just a couple of days till the start it came clear that the engine for Škoda is still in Finland and will not be delivered in time. The round in Bauska faced several debuts of the season. Russian Alexander Kvasnin came with his all-new Renault Clio Sport, Salavat Fathutdinov with VW Polo from Helmut Wild and with the support from TT Motorsport. The unknown for the audience was Estonian Denes Truu with Peugeot 206 and German Peter Lang with Seat Ibiza. Resuming, the round was again unsuccessful for Tamas Karai and for Salavat Fathutdinov. Setting third fastest time in the timed practice Tamas Karai was not able to get on the starting grid of the first heat. On Sunday he was just fifth in the second and third in the third heat, and later he again was not able to get on the grid of the A-final with the engine problems. He was classified tenth in the round and now is just fourth overall with fourteen points gap from the leading Paulius Pleskovas who could finish sixth. The other driver who earned a lot of attention from other drivers and spectators was Salavat Fathutdinov with his yellow VW Polo. The car looks great, however it was not so in the track as the car broke down already in the timed practice and was towed back to paddock. Later it was clear that the race for Fathutdinov is over. With other brand new car his season debut experienced Russian Alexander Kvashnin. Already in the timed practice he proved that he is still in good form and the car is more than competitive. He set fastest time beating Vaclav Fejfar second. After finishing second twice and first once in qualifying heats he was second who could choose his place on the starting grid of the A-final. Despite everything it was Czech Vaclav Fejfar who was fastest in Bauska. After winning first and second heats he secured "pole position" in the final race and did everything perfect. After brilliant start he left no any hopes for his rivals and led the race till the chequered flag, thus earning his first season points and saying that he is still in the game. The great competition turned out also for other Czech driver Ladislav Brožek who finished third moving to second place in the overall standings. This is his best result over last years.

Division 3 A faced most drivers of the round. 23 drivers passed scruteneering and were allowed to take part in the round. No surprise in this class, as Czech Ondrej Musil earned his third victory of the season and accordingly is leading overall standings with maximum points. This was also the great comeback of double champion Ladislav Hanak. He was on the pole of the A-final but was not fast enough to keep up with the speed of Musil and got his first podium this season finishing second. Luxembourger John Lagodny finished third and provided also third place for him also overall. Current champion Vit Nosalek is still fighting up, he got on the last row of the final race just after winning B-final race, but was not competitive enough in the final and finished eight. The show for spectators prepared Marek Sekanina (photos) who during the second heat running away from Karoly Abraham overdid and made couple of great rolls after the first jump. He got out of the accident with no injuries, but the car will need some more serious repairs as the rollcage was damaged.

In Division 3 his first ever visit in Bauska was amazing for Frenchman Teddy Baudet. Starting from the second row of the A-final he managed to take the lead already after the first corner. He was followed close by Petr Turek and Andre Hinnenkam, but could stay cool and did no mistakes to give any chances for them to overtake the lead. All three finished in1.3 seconds. This is also his first ever round victory of the European Championship. Just for consideration, last season Glenn van Rosmalen took his first ever victory right in Bauska later winning the championship. Will Teddy follow the steps of Rosmalen? Willy Albers was the second showman of the round as he rolled his car in the first corner of the third heat.

Euraca Cup for Division 4 Junior drivers got underway in Bauska. First round was attended just by seven drivers. The weekend was dominated by existing champion Krisztian Szabo who won the final race with almost five second lead over Jakub Kubiček who had close battle with Russian Vladislav Demkin.

This was already 20 th time when Musa hosted a round of European Championship. The only driver who has been in Musa since the very first time is Czech veteran Jaroslav Hosek. He was awarded with memorial prize from the organizers during the official prizegiving.

The next round will host German Seelow on June 26/27.
